What is Corriedale?
Originally from Australia and New Zealand from a cross between Merino ewes and Lincoln or Leicester males
Densely packed fleeces with thicker fibers compared to Merino
Long staple length with a springy crimp and beautiful luster. An excellent choice for beginners
A medium wool that is not too slippery to spin, yet soft enough for garments
Perfect for needle felting! The springy texture and individual large diameters of the fibers make it easier for the needle barbs to catch the fibers.
Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry.
Each braid contains ~ 4 oz of ready to spin fiber.
