Use the WPI (Wraps per Inch) ruler to identify the gauge of your hand spun yarn.
Use the quick reference guide lines to quickly check and measure the thickness of your yarn as you spin and ply to ensure consistency. Includes lace, fingering, sport, DK, worsted, bulky and super bulky.
Use the twist angle gauge to determine the angle of twist from 0-90 in increments of 10 degrees as well as S or Z twist. To measure twist angle, lay your yarn across the wood and match the twist to the closest twist angle line.
Not just for spinners, this tool is incredibly helpful for knitters and crocheters to determine the weight of mystery yarns and determine what the approximate gauge will be.
This yarn guide measures about 3 inches tall by (almost) 3 inches wide and comes with a brass clasp to hang on your knitting bag.
